Coaching in Action Day (systems of coaching)

• Learn the principles and research that underpin a coaching program
• Practical strategies to build a culture where coaching can thrive
• Experience coaching and visiting a classroom
• Systems and structures to support and measure the impact of coaching programs.

Led by Dr Mark Dowley this program is designed to show the systems and structures that support a coaching program in a school. Mark will outline the history of how a coaching approach has been successfully implemented at his school, including the coaching pillars that underpin their purpose and philosophy and an outline of their coaching cycle.  Coaching simulation, viewing of classes to practice data collection and reflecting on a whole coaching cycle will take place. Resources for later reference will also be provided.

Coaching in Action days provide opportunities for coaches and coaching leads to see coaching in action in a school environment and hear from leading coaches who have worked over time to build a coaching culture in their schools.
