Year 8 parents and students

Reading is the single most important factor in improving educational outcomes. Students who read achieve higher marks in assessments, are more confident in class and develop superior comprehension and writing skills than non-readers.

Research into reading suggests that attitudes to reading are predominantly created in the home. If children have positive associations with reading, they are more likely to read more.

Join us for our Year 8 Parent and Student Book club where we will talk about David Levithan’s The Mysterious Disappearance of Aidan S. and have lots of fun!
