Students and Parents of Year 12

The research tells us that our reading habits are strongly formed by parental expectations, and that students who read are more likely to experience academic success than those who don’t. Reading your child’s English texts can be a powerful way to foster engagement, academic confidence and sends a powerful message of support.

The aim of our bookclubs is to help demystify English and give you a perspective informed by the Study Design from which to have meaningful discussions with your son. At the beginning of the evening, we will provide an overview of the Area of Study and briefly outline some of the ideas we are covering in class. There will then be an informal opportunity for you and your boys to have great conversations about the text.

Please join us for this interactive workshop with Joe Harlowe, Head of English.
