Associate Head of the Crowther Centre, Director of Teaching and Learning ELC-VCE

Bryn Humberstone is Associate Head of the Crowther Centre and Director of Teaching and Learning at Brighton Grammar School, where he provides strategic leadership across ELC to VCE. His work focuses on ensuring excellence in classroom practice, aligning academic policy and curriculum design, and supporting students to make informed subject selections that maximise their learning outcomes. He also leads the School’s learning analytics, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strengthen teaching and learning outcomes.

Bryn has particular expertise in the use of VCE and NAPLAN data to drive performance improvement. Through careful analysis and clear communication of data, he works with leaders and teachers to identify areas of growth and implement targeted strategies that lead to measurable gains in student achievement.

An experienced educator and contributor to the profession, Bryn has authored Mathematics textbooks and supports schools to use evidence effectively to enhance teaching, learning and student outcomes. His leadership has supported the development of high-performing faculties, underpinned by a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
