Brent Brickhill

As Brighton Grammar School’s Numeracy Coordinator (ELC-Year 6), Instructional Coach and Student Coaching Coordinator, Brent Brickhill’s application of these roles extends the breadth of the School.

As Numeracy Coordinator he promotes enhanced teaching practice through workshops and explicit teaching support, utilises key formal assessments to inform teaching strategies, supports teachers in their planning and develops primary curriculum documentation.

Aligned with the School’s philosophy of evidence-based research informing teaching practice in order to promote excellence in education, Brent works alongside Dr Mark Dowley and Dr Ray Swann developing leadership training modules.

Brent’s coaching roles are both staff and student-centred. He conducts coaching and workshops for teachers in the Junior School, provides instructional coaching for the ELC and Junior School teachers and trains the Year 10 and 11 student coaches so they can support boys in Year 5 and Year 6 to achieve their goals.
