Year 7 parents and students

Reading is the single most important factor in improving educational outcomes. Students who read achieve higher marks in assessments, are more confident in class and develop superior comprehension and writing skills than non-readers.

Research into reading suggests that attitudes to reading are predominantly created in the home. If children have positive associations with reading, they are more likely to read more.

With that in mind, we hope you will join us for our Year 7 Parent and Student Book club where you will talk about Andy Mulligan’s Trash, get a sense of what your son is doing in English and hopefully have some fun!

Please join us for this parent workshop to hear from:

– Year 7 English staff
